Cafe in a cabin? My first imagination was a small wooden shack serving coffee to passers-by. But the beauty and coziness of this relatively hidden cafe way surpassed my expectation.

Caffeinated Cabin is located along Jalan Gasing unit number 64, right beside La Selle school. In the past, this bungalow unit is only utilized by a hair salon, Chezz Technique. With parking spaces located at the back of the unit, patrons have to circle around the cafe to get in and out of it, basically a one way street concept for cars.

That is when young barista, Derry have the idea to make full use of one side of the road by extending out from the main unit where the salon is, and placed a cabin to run a cafe. Thus, Caffeinated Cabin is born! To prove that this story isn't made up, check out this cafe's floor. Inside, no tiles are in place, but the original tarred road remains - notice the yellow 'Slow' sign.

The moment you walk towards the entrance of Chezz salon in search of Caffeinated Cabin, slightly doubting that you are in the right place, you will see a cooling terrace at the side, covered with shade umbrellas and greeneries. Looking past this area is where you will find, the entrance to this hidden cabin!

Keeping the renovation simple cannot get anymore rustic like Caffeinated Cabin - the greyish cement wall is flunked by beautiful wall mural; simple metal + wooden chairs and tables placed on top of tarred road; metal framed glass windows keeping the cafe bright with adjustable shades to control the penetration of light.

Caffeinated Cabin proves that being in a confined area does not mean you cannot serve good food with its variety of all day brunch menu, including main ingredient such as poached eggs, omelettes, smoked ducks and smokes salmon.

Cakes and pastries here comes in a rather huge variety with supplies coming from the well known bakery - Touché Pastries & More, PJ Seksyen 17.

And finally, all the espresso based coffee are served here using Coffex beans, keeping this cozy cabin well caffeinated.
