No longer To Be Completed, the bright yellow cafe facing Persiaran Anggerik Vanilla, Kota Kemuning's most used road, is open for business! *official launch - 12th July, Saturday
What does TBC stands for, you ask? Well, just be creative and come out with expanded abbreviations (like how BFM does it), such as The Best Coffee, The Breakfast Club, The Brew Crew, The Brunch Company, and so on. Share your unique TBC representation by commenting below! :) Yes World of Warcraft fans, let's not miss out The Burning Crusade...

Most of the tiles and wooden panels in TBC Cafe are diamond-shaped. With a little creativity, you will notice a few optical illusions you could create with photographs in here, taking advantage of this diamond-shaped characteristic. Food & Beverage:
TBC Cafe procures its beans from the well known Singaporean coffee roaster Papa Palheta, with a Casadio coffee machine to power its espresso. All 3 of Papa Palheta's blends are for sale (in pack of beans, not grinded), including the Throwback, Nuts + Bolts, and the Terra Firma.
Papa Palheta's beans. Notice the creative way TBC Café ask for customer's feedback on their coffee. Instead of comment cards or Facebook likes, customers are requested to drop a coffee bean in the jar beside the coffee machine if you like their coffee. :) |
Only the Throwback blend is served at the moment in TBC Cafe, serving patrons all the all-time favourite espresso-based coffee. For those unfamiliar with Throwback, its a blend with a heavy, rich dark chocolate-y taste. More to bitter as compared to the acidic variety, the way I like my coffee if added with milk. Kota Kemuning folks now have a good alternative in their home turf, rather than to travel to Bangsar for a sip of the Singaporean-genesis coffee. :)

One of TBC Cafe's founder grew up under the care and guidance of two chef-parents, passing down their culinary skills to the next generation to produce good meals for TBC Café's patrons, including breakfasts and sandwiches.
Menu expansion is to be expected for a young cafe, so stay tuned!
Verdict:
TBC Café is located at a very noticeable part of Kota Kemuning, with appealing operating hours (till 10 pm daily, except Sunday). Rejoiced folks in the area now have a delightful hangout place at night besides the usual mamak, McDonalds, or Starbucks, with the plus of good coffee being served here.
