Environment:

Deep in the tranquil Bandar Utama housing district is a small commercial center with few shop units, called Oasis Business Centre BU11. With reasonable amount of parking spaces, there are a few operational businesses in this area, mainly an art gallery, furniture shop, and a few others. But the main eye-catching lot belongs to J&D Espresso, located right at the corner / center of these commercial lots.

Black color-themed cafe.

A heavily black color-themed cafe with bright yellow sign, J&D Espresso looks like a classy hidden gem, out of sight from the busier part of Bandar Utama. White marble flooring and shiny black wooden panels bring out the classiness of this cafe. Creative hat-shaped lighting radiates cozy yellow ray of lights around the cafe.

Monkeys / chimpanzees arts seen around the cafe.

Ape arts are engraved on the walls, with the most notable ones are the 3 wise monkeys or the 3 mystic apes, also known as Iwazaru, covering his mouth, who speaks no evil; Kikazaru, covering his ears, who hears no evil; and Mizaru, covering his eyes, who sees no evil.

There are ample shaded outdoor sits too if the interior gets too crowded. Water sprinklers and bamboo trees keep the area cooled from the hot Malaysian weather.

Food & Beverage:

Freshly roasted coffee. Pork cravings. Cold beers. These are the labels that are described outside of J&D Espresso.

Open starting 9.00 am daily, this cafe serves Bandar Utama residents the all-time favourite espresso-based coffees.

Good food keeps the locals coming back for more, making this their favorite hangout spot in spite of the convenience of being situated right in their own backyard.

Serving all-day breakfast and lunch, pastas and pizzas, and memorable desserts, many are longing for J&D Espresso to continue their operations past their current closing time - 6.00 pm, what's more since beers are served here too.

Verdict:

Lucky BU11 folks get to have such a classy, yet homey and welcoming cafe in their own backyard. Good food, desserts, and coffee makes the trip to J&D Espresso worth it, even for those whom are not from this area.

Most comfy seating arrangements are those towards the side of the cafe, where patrons get to lead down comfortably on the wall with their legs stretched horizontally.
