Brew & Bread @ One City Shopping Mall, Subang Jaya

Environment:

Among all the commercial outlets in the newly open Subang's One City shopping mall, Brew & Bread is easily the most prominent and conspicuous retail unit among the rest. Expanding from their main branch in one of Kota Kemuning's commercial areas, the new Brew & Bread is now targeting the shopping crowd in Subang Jaya.

Located at the ground floor beside Subway you will find two street lamps taken from KESAS highway (just kidding!) shining towards a majestic metal rotating door. This door is pretty heavy that kindergarten kids might not be able to push it open. So guys make sure to be a gentleman and do the honor to chivalrously open and hold the door for your lady. ;)

Barista and his espresso machine at the entrance tempts you with freshly brewed coffee aroma to enter and order a cuppa.

Spacious overhead area that makes way for a huge metal chandelier and two more street lamps.

Orange-y fluorescent light bulbs 'chic' up the café.

Inside you will see a huge metal chandelier hanging above the counter. Two more street lamps shining on the caffei-niacs sitting below, and light bulbs above the stairway gives out a warm orange-y color that 'chic' up the place. Overall, a classy choice of industrial vintage interior and furniture.

There are few more tables at the upper deck, where you could oversee the whole café from the top.

Food & Beverage:
Similar to the main branch in Kota Kemuning, this branch serves the same menu, including good coffee, cakes and pastries, but without the main courses (not yet at least).

The beauty, Kees van der Westen - Spirit, the dream of many baristas. This espresso machine is responsible to provide you with your dose of caffeine here.

Cold drip coffee with a hint of whisky taste.

Had a long night and needed a higher dose of caffeine? Try to the 'Cold Drip Coffee', higher acidity and a hint of whisky taste. This coffee requires about 15 to 18 hours preparation. You can opt for some milk if you are intolerant towards higher coffee acidity, but cold drip is best enjoyed when sipped without milk.

Piccolo latte - Snoopy anyone?

Spoilt for choice of coffee? Try the piccolo latte - similar to a caffè latte but served in a macchiato glass. Having these little caffeinated milk shots lets you taste Brew & Bread's fresh roasted coffee with milk, without the bloated feeling when drinking full size milk coffees. Girls on diet do take note :)

Verdict:

Modern industrial ambience plus good coffee and cakes makes Brew & Bread an awesome place to hangout. Unsure of what coffee to order? Try the piccolo latte ~
